French authorities have ordered hundreds of migrants putting up in the port of Calais known as the jungle to leave or face eviction from the refugee camp.
Authorities say the conditions of the camp are not dignifying and have told its occupants that they have until 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT) on Tuesday to leave the camp.
“Anyone remaining will be forcibly removed to allow for the makeshift structures there to be razed.” French authorities say.
Reports say up to 1,000 people could be affected by the eviction from the sprawling camp which has become a hub of some sort for migrants with structures such as shops, a school and a religious edifice.
