Zimbabwe estimated $274m for 2018 general election



Zimbabwe's election organisation says it wishes $274 million to finance the 2018 presidential and parliamentary elections in which incumbent president robert mugabe plans to contest even though he's ninety four years vintage.



In the interim, zimbabwe is struggling extreme cash shortages and mugabe's authorities is currently struggling to pay its people on time at the same time as many agencies cannot fund the imports they need.



Rita makarau, the zimbabwe electoral fee chairperson, advised a parliamentary committee today that she turned into confident the country wide treasury would make the cash to be had announcing 'a consolidated budget requirement has seeing that been submitted to treasury for funding in the sum of $274 million'.
