Hintsloaded can authoritatively report that
before the official pronouncement of decision of the Supreme Court about
Governor Nyesom Wike over the Appeal Court, celebrations had started on
the streets of Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital.
And after the decision by the court, drinking joints immediately
started experiencing unprecedented patronages while security had also
been beefed up at major road junctions to curtail excesses of supporters
of both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the main opposition, the
All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state capital.
In his first reaction, Emma Okah, a lawyer and Commissioner for Housing wrote on his Facebook wall: “Wike and PDP won at the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Federal might failed. Pride of APC failed. Supreme Court feared God.”
Ken Atswete, a Port Harcourt based human rights lawyer, also said: “The Apex Court has spoken and that is the law.The law is final!”
Jubilation has since continued in the camp of supporters of the as
there had been endless shooting of knockouts and firecrackers, in some
parts of the city to celebrate the unprecedented victory of the ruling
party in the state.
Meanwhile, the first thing the governor did after the Supreme Court judgment was to ask his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, to account for N3 trillion under his administration.
